Student Showcase Class

Majestease Academy, formally known as Reign Dance'N, is rebranding and to celebrate we are creating our first ever Burlesque Student Showcase, with you as the stars! Come discover the sexy, empowered, confident Majesty inside you! Are you ready to take the ultimate step outside of your comfort zone?

This is a five month program of burlesque style and chair dance classes starting April 7th and going through August 20th. In each class you will learn 2 performance ready numbers, a Neo-Burlesque style and a Burlesque Chair number. You will have the option to perform on stage at the Nasson Little Theater in Springvale, ME on August 22, or come to classes and learn the dances for fun! In addition, there will be a student picture day to capture this memory. You will be responsible for purchasing your own costumes, shoes, and accessories for your class by May 1st so we can properly practice with them. (Please note: if you are not performing in the show you do not need to purchase costume pieces.) Costumes, accessories, and shoes will be discussed as a class so we all feel sexy as hell, but comfortable and at a price we can all afford! I will provide chairs for all classes.

* Each one hour block class will include the 2 numbers you will learn for the showcase.

* All classes are Beginner Friendly unless marked otherwise.

Please Note: to make up for August not having 4 full weeks, there will be one optional Thursday night class either 8/6 (Tuesday Night Classes), 8/13, Wednesday Night Classes), or 8/20 (Optional Tech Night/Show run-through) at The Nasson Little Theater so we can have a full hour to practice on stage. For students who want to perform in the Student Showcase, it is highly recommended to come to one or all of these classes to feel the stage.

Picture Day Saturday, June 6th Noon-2pm

Picture day will be held on Saturday, June 6th at The Movement Market, address above, and will be free of charge! Your class will be scheduled a time to come into the studio in your full costume, hair, and makeup between noon and 2pm. You will get a free digital photo of yourself, and a free digital class photo! You also have options for prints for a cost. Costs information to come.

Costs:

$60 per month per class (Five Months Total) – Due on the first of each month

*Save 10% if paid in full ($270)

$50-$80 Costume Fee – You will be responsible for ordering and purchasing your own costume and accessories by May 1st, this way we can practice with our costumes. Expect costume expenses to be anywhere from $50-$80. Costumes will be discussed and agreed upon as a class and will try and be as low cost as possible.

$50-$80 Shoe Fee – You will also be responsible for the proper shoe attire required to go with the costume. To be ordered by May 1st is order to assure proper practice.
